Nursery - A nursery is provided for children, infants through age 3 from 9:15-11:30. The nursery is divided into two sections, one area for infants/non-walkers and one area for walkers/toddlers. Our nursery is staffed by a minimum of two adult member volunteers who will care for your children while you are in worship and after church education classes.
3 year olds-preschool:
Children will be dismissed from the worship service to the fellowship room (east side of the building) during the offering--around 10:00 a.m. They will meet as a large group for opening greeting and singing and then head to specific classrooms for a Bible story and response. Parents who are not attending adult education classes after church may pick up their preschooler in the fellowship room at 11am. Focus is on Jesus Storybook Bible and His great love for HIs children.
The children are dismissed from the worship service (about 10:00 a.m.) to the fellowship room on the east side of the building for opening greeting and singing. They will then head to specific classrooms for the story and response. Parents who are not attending adult education classes after church are asked to meet their child back in the fellowship room at 11:00 a.m. (east side of the sanctuary). Focusing on worshiping God, the church calendar, and the stories of Jesus through simple figures and easy to understand lessons.
Grades 3 - 6:
Students will meet in their classrooms in the lower level of the west wing of church from 10:30-11:30. The first 15 minutes will be a time of snack and sharing God moments during the past week as well as prayer praise and concerns for the coming week. They will then have a lesson and discussion based on the Kid Connection Cirriculum with a large group story and small group question time along with games and activities to apply the lesson to their everyday life. Kids will come back up to the Atrium after class.
Grades 7- 8:
Students will meet from 10:45-11:30 in the Music Room, to study the Heidelberg Catechism. This class is geared towards middle schoolers, but is open to everyone 7th grade-adult.
Adult Education Hour:
While parents are attending adult education and discipleship classes from 10:45-11:30, children nursury age-2nd grade will meet to have a snack, watch a Veggie Tales movie and color or play a game. There will be adult supervision and those coming from Children's Worship classes will be brought to the nursery at 11am for this time. Parents may pick up thier children from the nursery at 11:30am.
Cherub Choir: Young children singing the praises of Jesus from 6-6:15pm. Finish dinner and then send your 3 year old-1st grader to the music room to have some fun and learn some new songs and new ways to "send our praise to heaven" This class will meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from September-March.
Walk With Me: This is a Bible School style class for Kindergarten and 1st Graders that will meet from 6:15-7:15pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. They will hear a Bible story and have a craft and activities that will help to apply the story to their week.
GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting their Savior) is held for girls in 2nd-8th Grades. This year's theme is "In His Steps". They will meet in the fellowship room (up the stairs on the northeast side of the building) from 6:15-8pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from September-March. During the meeting, girls will spend time in worship and prayer all together and then divide into small groups for lesson time and a craft. Special activities, badges, and fun nights are all part of learning to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
CADETS is for boys in 2nd-8th grades. They will meet in the Cadet Room (lower level on the southwest side of the building ) from 6:15-8pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from September-March. During the meetings, boys and leaders will spend time in a lesson learning about how to be followers of Christ. They will also work on badges and special projects to build relationships with each other and our community.
